Cultural Events and Iranian Traditions

Organization of Nowruz, Chaharshanbe Suri and Sizdah Bedar to promote Iranian culture.

An important part of IStA’s work is preserving and sharing Iranian culture. Over the past year, the association organized several cultural events, including Nowruz, Chaharshanbe Suri and Sizdah Bedar. These events gave Iranian students and families the opportunity to experience familiar traditions together in Germany. At the same time, people from different backgrounds were invited to learn about Iranian culture, music, history and community. IStA’s cultural programs are not only about celebrating traditions; they also promote intercultural exchange. They create spaces where encounters, understanding and respect can grow. In this way, the Iranian community becomes more visible and more connected with local society. For IStA, it is especially important to present a diverse, positive and vibrant image of Iran. Culture is understood as a bridge between generations, between heritage and present life, and between the Iranian community and German society.
