Political Dialogue with Decision Makers

Dialogue with political representatives to support freedom, human rights and Iranian civil society.

Over the past year, the Iranian Student Association Mainz & Wiesbaden (IStA) engaged in a series of important discussions with political decision makers in Germany. These included meetings with the mayor of Mainz, representatives of the city of Wiesbaden, and the former prime minister of Rhineland-Palatinate. These conversations took place in the context of ongoing developments in Iran and aimed to make the perspectives, concerns, and aspirations of Iranian students in Germany more visible. IStA used these opportunities to raise awareness about the situation in Iran and to emphasize the importance of freedom, human rights, and democratic values. A key focus of these meetings was to communicate the demands and hopes of Iranian civil society and to highlight the need for international support for a peaceful and sustainable transformation in Iran. The organization clearly stands for freedom, self-determination, and a democratic future for the country. These political dialogues represent an important step in strengthening the voice of Iranian students at an institutional level and building long-term relationships with political actors. They contribute to raising awareness about developments in Iran within European political circles.
